Advocate. Kumar Ranjan
Advocate. Kumar Ranjan is an esteemed member of the World Culture Forum Advisory Council. His contributions extend to various prestigious institutions and organizations, showcasing his broad expertise and commitment to cultural and societal issues. He has provided advisory support to numerous NGOs and has been associated with National Chemical Fertilizers Limited, Mumbai, since 2008.
Ranjan’s areas of specialization are extensive, including Environmental Laws and matters related to Academic Institutions and Universities. He has actively participated in numerous conferences and seminars, further establishing his role as a leading expert in cultural and social dialogue. His involvement includes the World Congress of Philosophy at Delhi University in December 2006, the All India Seminar on Access to Justice at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, in 2007, and the National Conference on Law & Governance in 2010. He also contributed to Human Rights Day functions in 2014 and 2015, focusing on the protection of street children and human rights commitments.
His scholarly work includes a publication titled “Judicial Activism vis-a-vis Indian Democracy,” featured in the Delhi Law Journal published by CLC, Law Faculty, Delhi University. Mr. Kumar Ranjan’s extensive experience, insights, and dynamic engagement in various fields have significantly contributed to the vision and mission of the World Culture Forum.
Mr. Shirish Asthana
Mr. Shirish Asthana is a distinguished member of the World Culture Forum Advisory Council, bringing a wealth of experience from various sectors. His extensive career spans roles in the Government of India, Corporate Sector, and Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs).
Growing up surrounded by eminent performers, Mr. Asthana became a keen music enthusiast and developed a deep passion for the arts particularly Indian Classical Music and he perfected his skills by gaining mastery in the Tabla,. His professional journey includes significant exposure through delegations to international organizations such as the World Bank, ILO, UNIDO, and GIZ, and visits to countries including Vietnam, Germany, South Korea, and Britain.
Between 2020 and 2023, Mr. Asthana served as a Consultant for the Ministry of Culture (G.O.I)’s “Festival of India Abroad” Scheme. His role was to implement the scheme and he coordinated with key cultural institutions including the Sangeet Natak Akademi, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, National Gallery of Modern Art, Sahitya Akademi, and various Zonal Cultural Centres, among others.
